FAQs for New Sponsors

We understand that becoming a sponsor is both a generous and meaningful decision. Below are answers to common questions from new sponsors.

Who can I sponsor?

You sponsor a girl aged 10–18 who resides in an orphanage or foster care system and is enrolled in a GLOW UP program.

How does sponsorship work?

Sponsors contribute a monthly or annual amount that supports a girl’s participation in GLOW UP’s programs across education, health & well-being, and nutrition & food security.

Funds are pooled to ensure equitable and sustainable support, rather than being limited to one expense.

Can I communicate with the girl I sponsor?

Yes, where appropriate and in line with child protection policies. Communication is facilitated through GLOW UP to ensure safety, privacy, and ethical standards.

How long does sponsorship last?

Sponsorship is flexible. Many sponsors commit for one year or longer to provide stability and continuity, but you may adjust or end your sponsorship at any time with notice.

How is my donation used?

Your contribution supports program costs including education, skills training, healthcare, meals, and mentorship. GLOW UP maintains transparency and accountability in all financial management.

Will I receive updates?

Yes. Sponsors receive periodic updates, impact reports, and stories highlighting how their support is making a difference.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

GLOW UP is a registered non-governmental organization. Tax deductibility depends on your country of residence. Please consult your local tax authority or contact us for documentation.

What safeguards are in place for child protection?

GLOW UP follows strict child safeguarding and protection policies, ensuring all interactions prioritize the dignity, safety, and well-being of the girls.
